Epameinondas Farmakis

Epameinondas serves as the CEO. He has over twenty years of experience in civil society having worked with more than 1,300 nonprofits and foundations. Epameinondas is known for his nonprofit management and fundraising skills and, while a believer in philanthropy, is eager to introduce new impact driven programs and innovation needed in the sector. He is currently serving as the Programmes Director for the EEA Grants (Local Development and Poverty Reduction / Asylum and Migration) as well as the Founder of a Greek NGO HumanRights360. Epameinondas has collaborated closely in the past with the Open Society Foundations; the Bodossaki Foundation; served as President and CEO of the philanthropic advisory unit elpis SA; and with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. During the early years of his career he was a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch NY in the asset management division. Epameinondas has a joint MBA and MSFS degree from Georgetown University.
